He spent over 15 years building and selling outdoor structures in Lancaster County — pavilions, pergolas, gazebos. Customers kept asking for the same thing: a real place to cook. Not a roof over a grill.
He didn't have one either. Grill against the house, gear hauled in and out, dinner rescheduled when it rained.
So he built what he wanted. Then his friends wanted one.
Flamehouse's first customer was the guy who built it. Every one since has been built the same way — for someone specific, with the equipment they chose, in the yard they already have.
Nobody should have to choose between a folding table and a $50,000 construction project. There's a version in between — built properly, delivered finished, designed around how people actually cook and host.
That's a Flamehouse. Everything in one place, ready when you are.
Lancaster County has been building things by hand for three hundred years. Barns, furniture, timber frames — work that outlasts the people who ordered it.
Every Flamehouse is built here, in Bart Township, in a shop where the person building it knows who it's for. We use quality materials, we build to order, and we don't cut the corners you can't see.

Every Flamehouse leaves the shop with a brass plate: the town it was built in, and its number.
Small thing. But it's the difference between a product and a build — and it's the first thing people notice when they walk up to one.
The idea for Flamehouse Living began in my own backyard. I wanted an outdoor kitchen that kept everything organized, protected, and ready to use — but I couldn't find anything that offered the convenience, quality, and appearance I had in mind. So, I decided to build it myself.
After more than 17 years in the outdoor-living industry, I've had the privilege of helping people transform their backyards into spaces they truly enjoy. Flamehouse Living grew from that experience and from my belief that a backyard should be more than just a space — it should be a place where life happens.
My wife and I have been married for 17 years, and we have four children ranging in age from 6 to 16. Some of our favorite moments are spent together on the patio — cooking great food, sharing stories, laughing, and dreaming about the future.
That is why I enjoy building every Flamehouse. It isn't simply an outdoor kitchen; it's a gathering place designed to make cooking easier and time together more enjoyable. My hope is that your Flamehouse becomes the center of countless backyard meals, conversations, celebrations, and memories your family will carry for a lifetime.
